Community safety

Safety & transparency

AntiScammer is a Discord bot that helps moderators spot scam messages and risky behavior. This page explains, in plain language, what the tool does and how appeals work at a high level.

What the bot does

When your server invites AntiScammer, it can analyze messages and related signals according to your server’s configuration. Moderators remain in charge: the bot assists detection and reporting; it does not replace your rules or your moderation team.

  • Scans message content and patterns for common scam and social-engineering signals.
  • Can log detections and support staff workflows when your server uses reporting features.
  • May apply automated actions only when your server explicitly enables them (for example deleting a message or timing out a user), within Discord’s permissions.

Fairness & mistakes

Automated systems can be wrong. If someone was affected by a moderation action they believe was incorrect, they should contact your server’s moderators first. Server owners configure channels, roles, and how strongly the bot reacts.

Appeals & questions

For disputes about the AntiScammer service itself (billing, bugs, or policy), use the official support channel below. For in-server moderation decisions, use the process your community publishes (for example a mod-mail channel or ticket bot).
